Hi Laura,
I commented on another post and didn't realize I hadn't introduced myself. I'm new to your blog and I have found it insightful and thought provoking. I look forward to reading more and often.

I've been to Italy and it is beautiful! The people live with so much passion. I had a wonderful time. Being there enabled me to be free and daring. It felt like there was something intoxicating in the air and I was drunk on it; there was a spring in my step and sway in my hips, mischief in my eyes, long animated conversations with strangers and I flirted like crazy. For the first time ever I went to bed with very little apparel, fell asleep on a park bench and let an elderly man chat me up as I walked to my hotel at 11 pm. I had a great time. The fashion was amazing too.
I was sad to leave and when I returned home the change was almost debilitating. I needed that trip because it taught me a lot, it especially taught me that not only could I survive but I could flourish.
Give me Italy any day.

You have it spot on Laura. I too think it's impossible to look glamourous whilst hanging on to my body heat! Maybe some women are just lizards, and can't cope with the cold. My dream? Emigrate to warmer climes. Suggest you go back to lovely, lovely Italy. Think I might do that too. Not just for the temperature, but for everything Italian.

Hi Laura,

I'm just new to your blog and I have to say, this is so interesting I am halfway through it!

It's like you are writing down what a lot of us are experiencing!

Kudos! :)

P.S. I am halfway around the world (China) from where you are, but this is proof that geography doesn't really make a difference to what women are experiencing.
